This is why I feel breathing is the greatest tool you have. ✨


I've been a health coach for twelve years, and before that, I was a plant-based chef, with my focus being healing with whole foods. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Both of these skills have served me well, and I've helped many people with them.

But as the years went by with clients coming to me to lose weight, eat healthier, and some with serious illness, 100% of the time, the conversation was never about the food. Food would be a gateway conversation until they felt more comfortable opening up, and sometimes that would be five mins 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We know intuitively what to eat, but we have a lot of noise drowning out our intuition. Our bodies are very sophisticated machines its silly to think we can't feed it without someone telling us what to eat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That's where breath comes in. It amps up the volume on the intuition and turns down the volume on all the other bullshit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Don't get me wrong, food has amazing healing benefits, and I could talk about the energy of food all day, but that will not do you any good if you are stuck in habitual eating patterns. ❤️


Healing ourselves is not passive. It takes action, and the best action you could make is to utilize the power of your breath.

Breath of Fire

Sit comfortably. Close your eyes and concentrate at the brow point. It is a rapid and equal inhale and exhale through the nose that will reorganize your energy.

Place your hands on your belly. Is it moving powerfully in and out? Or staying put? You should notice a gentle pump of the navel. The belly will expand on the inhale.

Remember: This is a powerful breath, but hyperventilation is never the goal. If you begin to feel lightheaded, slow your breath, reset your rhythm, and begin again. Take your time and rest when needed.
