We all desire to be the best version of ourselves. The question is, how do we get there? Many of us have become used to our daily routine, and we don’t know how to change it. Even if what we’re used to has stopped bringing us joy. Feeling overloaded, stressed, and overwhelmed by the day-to-day leaves many of us in a rut. We become exhausted, our immune systems are weakened, and we tend to fall into habits that aren’t beneficial.
Korrin Rogers, Health/Life Coach, understands what you’re going through and is here to guide you on the way back to finding yourself again. Here’s what coaching with Korrin offers:
What exactly can your clients expect from working with you?
- In general, I’m a soundboard for people to find their way back to themselves. I guide them on a journey back to the innate wisdom easily accessed with some help. Whether they’re struggling with food, spouses, or familial relationships, the overarching problem is that they don’t trust themselves anymore. Often, when we’re in that space, our inner guidance is drowned out by negative thoughts, and when we quiet those loud voices, intuition can take over.
What is the most common topic you help clients address?
- Most of my clients struggle with relationship issues, career problems, weight, and overall health feeling off. Often, they want to be told what to do because the inner compass is off and are afraid to take the reigns. They’re shocked to realize this isn’t how I operate. I don’t believe in making you follow a set meal plan or step-by-step guidebook. Your body is smart enough to regulate itself and tell you what you need. You need to listen. I realize that it is more complicated than it sounds. It does involve work.
What is a straightforward tool you suggest everyone incorporate into their lives to see results?
- Drink more water. It’s simple, but it’s true. Many of us are not only drinking too little water every day, but water gives us clear skin and a clear mind, and it’s one of the easiest things to do. I suggest to my clients that they drink more water and eat more foods that have water: increase their vegetable and fruit intake, spend time in the water with cold showers or swimming, it cleanses themselves in ways you wouldn’t even realize. Quite often, “healthy habits” become easier after taking this small step.
How does your coaching work for those struggling with weight loss?
- While I don’t tell my clients what to eat, I believe in the “crowding out” method. You begin to incorporate healthier foods into your diet instead of cutting things out, and over time your body wants more of the “good” and begins to feel better. This method generally works better because the “all or nothing” approach seems to have a backlash. As soon as you tell yourself, ’im not going to do this, it’s all you think about. Add more water, add more nutritious foods, and your body will begin to adjust and crave more of what it needs instead of the junk.
How is this different from going to therapy?
Traditional therapy has a place, and it is an excellent solution for some people, but it’s a bit one-note. You can sit and tell someone what you’re going through, but many people need action steps to take afterward. They’re looking for tips, tools, etc. With me, you are still heard, but you need to move the energy out of your system, and that’s when I incorporate meditation and yoga along with a few other techniques you may not find with traditional therapy.
Who would you say this coaching is good for?
A person who is tired of standing in their own way and is invested in feeling better. My ideal client is ready and willing to do the work. Nothing is more motivating than feeling the results of a simple meditation, but the shift only happens if you do, and it becomes real to you. To have a thought pattern that felt impossible to break evaporate feels like magic. I can tell you about it, and you can certainly read about it, but you will only have it if you do it and do it regularly.
“My clients have huge breakthroughs in such a short amount of time, and my goal is to get you to a point where you don’t need me anymore. I give you the tools you need to be you. Authentically you”.
If you’re ready to change your life, all Korrin asks is that you come with an open heart and open mind. If you do that, you’ll experience miraculous results.
